Description

The advantages of these filament spool holders combined:

resource-saving, only 34g filament, printing time 1h34 on Bambu A1,

easy printing without supports,
without gluing,
without screws,
without drilling,
without ball bearings,
no additional parts necessary,

low friction forces: Friction takes place on the inner ring of the spool. As a result, the tangential forces on the filament are much lower than if the friction were to take place on the outer spool ring.

I have not found another model that has all these advantages.
Using PETG is recommended because of flexibility.

There are two versions, one is 150 mm symetrical, and one is 145 mm asymetrical by 15 mm. Take a look at the picture.
Each version is available with a thickness of 2.0 mm and 2.4 mm. The printing profile is for 2.0 mm, but if you feel this to wobbly, slice for you own with the 2.4 mm version.

very fitting on the plate 😃 printed in bambu PETG HF, roughly one hour. the box is needed for stability, don't try this as a filament stand alone 😁

Thanks for the feedback. Currently it is 1.6 mm. In your opinion, would be 2 mm enough?

The printig profile is now with 2.0 mm thickness, while a thicker version with 2.4 mm is aivalabe as stl. May you please adapt your voting after testing? Many thanks.

great design, made one with bearings and now its way to easy to spin. Causing tangle issue LOL

Yes, to easy could also be a problem. And I don't want to buy so many bearings. Keep it simple.
