UPDATE

After some feedback I've uploaded a print profile with knurling on the knob/dial so you can turn it easier.

Magnetic Dishwasher sign. Turn the knob to change the sign and let everyone in the house know if the dishwasher has clean, or dirty dishes in it.

No glue needed, friction fit should work fine. If it does not, a little bit of superglue will hold the top and bottom plates together.

You will need two 8mm x 3mm magnets. There is a pause in the print to embed the magnets. Once the print pauses, place the magnets in the holes then resume the print to allow 2 layers of filament to hold the magnets in place.

Love the design. Unfortunately I had to print it twice since I used a little too much super glue on the first one, but that's on me. I do wish the friction fit was better, as to not require glue, or it had a taper on the inner wall with a lip to snap in place.

design and print profile are all very nice, fits together just fine as well. wish it didn't take a full 180° turn to change the sign, I would prefer a quarter turn. ****user error, i used 8x2mm not the prescribed 8x3mm magnets**** Needs bigger magnets for my dishwasher. not sure if I have poor magnets or too thin of sheet metal on my dishwasher but it refused to stick with the normal 8x2mm magnets. had to throw some 20x2 soft stick on magnets on the back to make it work.

Thanks for the feedback. It’s designed for 8 x 3 magnets. I’m not sure if you had a typo in your review or you used too small magnets.

haha, you're right! I used 2 8x2mm magnets, looks like i should have used 8x3mm. aside from user error, the design and print profile is great :)

When you switch off the A1 then you have to redo the colors (Orca Slicer Issue). Other than that it's good.

I’m not sure what you mean? This profile is made to work with the AMS do the colour swaps. I don’t have a profile setup to print this without an AMS or AMS lite.

Awesome Print. I would really like a knob that is knurled or asymmetric for more grip. Hard to turn. Printed out of PLA-CF

There is a slight pattern on the knob, but great suggestion. I’ll put some more texture on it and re-upload. In PLA it’s not too hard to turn. I find that PLA-CF has a rougher texture for sure, but breaks in eventually.

worked perfect, i should of used like a carbon fiber effect on the build plate but printed flawless and works as intended. I didn't want magnets so i used double sided tape. I also glued it together with just a tad bit of ca glue.
