The Problem:
The Original mounting solution for the AMS Hub is very restrictive. Especially if you add 4 AMS to the Hub, you will need to extend cables & Teflon tubes, which increase errors. It wasn't easy to place everything, because the tubes point in one direction.
The Solution:
Thats why i created the magnetic AMS Hub Adapter. You can use magnets to place the hub where you like. The magnets are placed in such a way that it can even be placed on the left and right walls on the X1. And of course in can be placed everywhere in any direction on the backside of your printer. Personally, I oriented the hub upwards to place 4 AMS above the printer in a shelf.
You can use 6pcs Ø12x6mm or up to 12pcs Ø10x3mm magnets in the adapter.
After insert Ø12 magnets, place the distance on top, to prevent any shortcut.
If you use Ø10 you can stack 2 of them in the adapter tube where the distance is integrated.
The Shape fit exactly and the long screws(~30mm) for the Hub can be used to mount the Adapter.
You every-time have the option, to use the short screws (~22mm) to place the adapter at the original position.
