Description

update 14/07/2024: alignment pin added to rocket body print profile

I think this one is pretty easy to print…

just load the stl files and everything is correctly oriented. I printed in PLA with standard settings, no supports needed.

I started counting the rings from the bottom, so the second row is the second from the bottom and so on… The bottom white disks are in the bottom left corner on the build plate. The top white disks are in the top right corner:

Very cool model, thx a lot, always loved this particular rocket... created a cylinder to emulate flames, added one ws2812 LED to it, controlled by a ESP8266 with WLED, test print was in Bambu Lab PLA white, final print is in Extrudr PETG transparent yellow, all printed on my A1 Mini....Final place is on a tiny Ikea Lack shelf...

The Rocket was printed in Bambu Lab PLA basic white and 3DJake ecoPLA red, the "flames" in Extrudr PETG transparent yellow

very good print. unfortunately some of the white pieces failed during print. And it was hard to identify and print just those failed pieces

That's probably not how it is supposed to be, right? Where did I get it wrong?

Hmm I updated the white parts and probably made a mistake… I scaled if by 90% but I forgot to reset it… so please print the white parts again but scale them up by 100/90=111% Or wait until I fix it, I will try to do it later tonight

A very beautiful piece. With one small detail (nothing serious). With an A1 mini the connecting cube is too large. It needs to be reduced to 67% of its size to fit perfectly. Thank you for this beautiful creation!

After I had glued it together I noticed that I did not align the little bulges to the three wings/feet of the rocket, my bad. Now the bulges are 90° off. (Maybe you could add some hint in the description or make a connector which does only allow connection in one of the correct rotations?) Anyway it's a great model. I adjusted the print profiles to use variable layer height and especially for the round feed and the top of the rocket I used 0.08 with a very smooth result!
