Description

I'm Short give me a BOOST, so I can reach for more ideas! 😀

After creating the Spool Removal Tool i realized that people might be like me and misplace it or your kids might use it to have a tea party with their dolls haha. so i wanted to make something that would always be there when you need it. And what better way than making an adapter that stays with the spool while in the AMS lite. So i decided to see if i could tackle this task and here is the result of this endeavor, hope you all find it as help as i have. As a byproduct of creating this system i found that the pesky issue of spools rubbing the backside of the enclosure is no longer an issue do to the step that is on the adapter so that is certainly a nice bonus for those of us with the Ultimate Filament Spool Enclosure

 

 

DISCLAIMER: I can not guarantee that this system will work with cardboard spools, i did attempt to use it for them and the result was less than ideal, i was still able to remove the spools but not nearly as easily as the plastic spools.

 

Also because of the size of these adapters you SHOULD still be able to use other adapters with your larger diameter spools with this system.

 

This model was printed on my A1 using bambu PLA basic white

this object is very tight on the AMS rotary spool holder, I attached 1 and I took 12minutes to remove it from the AMS rotary spool holder, it got stuck.. does anyone had the same issue?

well that's silly. can't reply because you have a lower level? what measurement is that exactly? can you post a picture? also I have updated the print profile to fix this issue so you might be good to go now if you want to print one adapter to test on your AMS

center support crashed it once at the top near end of print and the other 2 times as the 3 arms are joining the center and a different one in each arrangement back one front one right one left one.
