Description

This printable side-release snap buckle has been designed so that both sides print flat on the print bed, which allows the layer lines to be optimally oriented to create an impressively strong functional buckle.

Carefully designed so that no supports are needed, and versions to support standard straps of three different sizes are included. Specifically strap widths of: 2 cm (.75 inch), 2.5 cm (1 inch), or 3.2 cm (1.25 inch). The version shown in most of the featured pictures is the 2.5 cm version. Works well in PLA, but PETG is even better.

I printed all 3 buckles in PETG and tried my best to break them (both right out of the printer and after freezing them for 6 hours), no way these will break while attached together under normal use. Is there any chance you could re-design this so both sides has an adjustable part for the straps? That way they could be used for things such as harnesses (for trimmers, brush cutters and leaf blowers in my case).

Really Nice. Used it in combat for more than 6 hours without breaking or eaven scratching. Really useful

Boosting this because it's one of the best buckle designs I have seen. I printed the original print profile on an A1 in Sunlu PLA+, only the smallest size of the buckles though. Fits and functions well, but I do wonder if the tolerances could be made a tad more tight. I have no doubt the current version is perfectly functional though, just a suggestion. Photo is the max deflection.

I did not like how loose the tolerances were as well. Fantastic buckle but seems a tad loose. I increased the male side to 103% and added small pads to the inner female side. This tightened up the buckle and now there is no deflection.

Easy print in PETG without supports or brim, used as replacement for a poor quality D-buckle on an integrated belt with great results. Teeth are very sharp and provide great bite on webbing, stopping it from slipping.

Had to create adjustable straps for my dog’s wheelchair and these were perfect! Loved the option for different sizes also.
