IMPORTANT: to ensure the ring works as intended, DO NOT modify the contents of the build plates. The only modification allowed is the one explained at the end of the description, in the 'Tips' section.

Description

I wanted to give my original fidget ring a fresh look, so I created this updated version with a stylish new pattern. It retains the simplicity and functionality of the original but now features a twisted groove design that offers a softer, more delicate feel to the touch. This makes it perfect for anyone who prefers a smoother, less aggressive tactile experience—just like my girlfriend does!

This ring is still quick and easy to print, with each size taking about 15 minutes. Like the original, this project includes 23 different sizes, so you’re sure to find the perfect fit. Whether you’re looking for a practical stress reliever or a sleek accessory, this ring combines comfort, style, and utility in one compact design.

Tips

If the two parts of the ring end up sticking together after printing, or if there’s too much friction when rotating, you can adjust the fit by slightly scaling only the outer part of the ring in the X and Y directions by a small fraction of a millimeter. Just be sure to turn off the "uniform scale" option before resizing!

The two parts stuck together and I didn’t feel like adjusting the print so I separated the two pieces with a knife. It turns now but not as freely as the displayed one. I might reprint it again later with the suggested adjustments

The print was good, after breaking free the parts are moving. The axial movement of the inner Ring results in a bad spinning.

Ring Sizer - 14-25mm

This tool does its job as advertised and is a helpful resource if you don’t know your ring size. I used green PLA from Prusa for printing.

I'm sorry to read that, are you sure it didn't move during printing, causing the two parts of the ring to fuse together?

Sorry I'm only seeing this now, still getting used to the website and what not, I didn't move it at all, took it off the plate and tried using it. I maybe shouldn't have give it one star due to personal issues with the ring, sorry for the rating.

don't worry! you can still change the rating if you want. btw the ring could need to be forced a little bit as sometimes its two parts get fused during printing. try and let me know, or if you give me more information about the filament and maybe a picture I can help you make it work!

thanks for the update! I'll try printing it again with a larger size and different filiment and see if that helps it.
