Description

Need to make sure you don't forget the next pillage? Stick a note on the fridge with this Viking Axe Fridge Magnet.

Uses 2x6mm round magnets. Just add a dab of glue.

Print support free. I used a brim around the blade to make sure I had good bed adhesion, but you might be OK just printing as it is.

Cool print but...magnets aren't flush. What am I doing wrong?

oh man, those aren't even close. do you have calipers? what's the measurement on those magnets? could be a difference in manufacturer maybe? I doubt the printer is off by that much. if you can tell me what the height of that magnet is, I'll upload a model with a deeper magnet hole. it definitely shouldn't look like that. I've never seen that issue before.

Thanks. Magnets are 2.62mm thick (Amazon). Printer is 24 days old so probably not the issue. Great print though!

Yep, those magnets are large. they should measure 2mm thick. Sometimes they are off by 0.1mm, but 0.6mm is way off. the hole for the magnet measures 6.2mm x 2.1mm to accommodate the magnet and fit snug.

really nice print, just the under side is a little rough with the wood structure and the ornaments not coming out as great as on the upper side. now it's getting a paint job!

what orientation did you print it in? it prints best with the flat spot on the blade on the bed. it should look like it's stuck in the bed and then it prints perfect. it looks like you might have tries to print it laying flat. try that position and see how it comes out.

I chose the default A1 print from the app. but you're right, it was printed on the side despite the preview image of that plate shows the axe on the flat surface. well, it's good enough anyway, but next time I'll double check!

Great print! I did it in Bambu Metal Silver & Bambu Wood. Then "Hardened Leather" Speed Paint on the handle, and silver Rub-n-Buff on the head. And... a little PermaBlood for good measure.

Same here, this is a great model, better than a few of the others "axe magnets" I've seen. Printed with AMS, wasn't unreasonably long or caused that many filament swaps. Came out fantastic. Now I have to try it with the new wood pla for the handle.
