Description

This is a simple clip for keeping your filament ends from tangling on the spool or unwinding. It fits snugly on the rim of the spool and holds the end of the filament in place. This was specifically designed for and tested on Bambu spools.

V.2 Changes:

I slightly rounded the inside lower corner so filament is less likely to catch on it if the clip is left on the spool during use.
I increased the space on the filament tab to allow the filament to slip in easier, but it should still remain held well.

Perfect print in PETG. The fit on the spool is spot on, the filament doesn't want to snap in the clip. Maybe because of PETG?

I haven’t tested with PETG, but I have a new version with a slightly larger gap for the filament I plan to upload soon.

Printed 6 of these and they do what they’re meant for, however, the filament was not able to be pulled by the AMS because it got caught in this. I will say that I put this on multiple spools and only one of them had the issue, so this was obviously a rare occurrence, but with other options available, I likely won’t be using these ones again.

Thanks for the comment. I originally designed them just to be taken off when using the spool, but I can see how leaving them on would be desirable. Maybe I'll revise in the future.

I just found it tough to remove it once it’s clipped on, but maybe that’s a me issue.

You kind of have to twist it off. I wanted it very snug so it would stay put. However, I just uploaded a new version with a rounded corner on the inside which should help if you want to leave it on the spool. If you try it, let me know what you think.
