Description

Tired of the little ones in your house not picking up toys?

Ya, I know this is a common issue but why not make it a bit more appealing. We were fighting making sure our littlest one always cleaned up her tub toys after bath time was over. We simply asked her one day why she didn't want to do it and she said she didn't like putting her toys away because they were too hard to get back out tomorrow. This made complete sense to me so I decided to make it easy for her to to her toys away and get them back out herself without help.

This basket simply hangs on two suction cup hooks (link below and in the BOM) that actually stick very well to the side of our tubs and showers. With the basket hanging on the hooks she can easily remove the basket and dump it out in the tub we she wants the toys and is deep enough for her to get her hands in to remove toys or place them inside. As an added bonus, she find pouring water through the basket and watching to see which holes it exits oddly entertaining. After making her the first basket she informed me she needed a place to hang her rubber duck net and her fishing pole so there is a plate with the standard basket as well as one with the basket having a loop for the fishing pole and a hook on the other side. Both have been designed to print without supports.

Through a few iterations of the basket I have found Bambu Lab ABS-GF perfect for the application as we don't have to worry about removing the baskets when anyone else uses the tub or shower and there has been zero deformation in a few months of use. Make sure your build plate is clean and use glue. I have upload the profile using the textured PEI plate and have found that plate needs the glue (liquid glue worked well). When printing on G10 the glue wasn't needed but the build plate had to be freshly cleaned and heated in the printer for 5-10 minutes. Both types of plates needed a good brim and when the build plate wasn't properly cleaned (me being lazy), it was evident the basket bottom was starting to warp after about 10-15 layers.

Hopefully you find this useful and happy printing.
