Description

Have you ever wanted to try out fuzzy skin but didn't know which settings to use?

here you have the ultimate all in one fuzzy test board!

with a thickness between 0.1 and 0.6 and a distance between 0.1 and 1.0, all you need is there

One side is flat and the other one is spherical so you can simulate almost any shape you want to print.

Conveniently there is a scale with the numbers on one, and a little example graph to show the differences between the settings

Have fun experimenting!

Nice design and intention. Unfortunately the print failed at layer 366 in the middle of the object and then starting to print the next layer in the air. I'm using Bambu Studio 1.10.1.50 and got a message about this model is made by a beta version of BL. Maybe this is the problem? Opened a ticket at BL. Anyway - 6h of only half useful printing :( Would like to give it a 5* rating, but it's not possible without a successful print :)

hi, sorry to hear that. I wasn't using a beta back then though and even if I had I don't think it has anything to do with that... weird :/. did the print come loose or what exactly happened? You could push the entire model down in the "Z" axis in Bambu Studio so that it continues printing at a height of 366. Then you would just have to glue the halves together. you could try cleaning the bed, reducing the speed, and maybe adding a 5mm-1cm border. thanks for your feedback, sorry for the problems, and good luck with hopefully trying again

I just see that you printed it on the A1 right? I printed it on a coolplate which has significantly more adhesion than the textured plate. It could also be that the vibrations of your bed loosened the print. This does not happen with the X1C and the P1 printers

Thanks for your considerations. I have the feeling that the board was sticking enough to the bed when I removed it. It was just the printer that had a "thinking pause" in the middle and then made crazy things. The speeds are max. 70 mm/s as I used silk PLA.

Printed great in PLA wood; perfect for figuring out what makes wood look real (I decided 1.0 distance 0.3 thickness)

Which printer and which scaling did you use? Printing time, any printing failures?

Bambu P1S, didn't scale it. In fact, didn't do anything to it; just loaded and printed. No failures. Default PEI textured plate.

Love the idea, really wanted this to work for me. When I printed it, everything was flat. No fuzzy texture anywhere, just a funny looking paperweight. What did I do wrong here? I didn't adjust any of the settings

50% is on the small side but useful, I think 75% would be a good compromise between useful size and filament use.

definitely a 10/10 on quality. size could be smaller for less filament use
