Description

Hello, I have tried almost every spiral rails in the Internet and decided to make my own.

Here is the result, the spiral rails, who can go up “forever”.

The print profile is for 3 levels, you can add more by adding more rails and high pieces.

The exit can be on different position too.

My son is happy, I hope I could make other childs happy too.

Enjoy

Very cool idea, only the Ikea electric trains don't fit through

The supports inside of the track lines cause a rough surface which doesn't look as nice as the other parts.

that's correct, and i mentioned that as one of the draw-backs of using this profile, as it clearly prioritizes speed and material over surface finish. you can finish it of with sand paper if you want it to look better i guess 😎

Yeap, the supports are too much. But so the surfaces, which You will see all day long are perfect.

Unfortunately, one of my electric locomotives always falls off the track to the outside, and the second one cannot manage the incline

So while this printed well I have a couple of issue. Same as others a lot of after market cars don't fit through. More clearance would be ideal both in height and width. Even with models that fit my 3yo has issues pushing his trains through. The other issue I ran into but it's probably me is that the top of loop straight piece didn't fit the piece made for it. Regardless a good design. Thanks for sharing.

Try the distance pieces, they help for higher wagons. For last piece, I don't know, sorry.

Good idea, but unfortunately it doesn't quite match the original curves, that would be even better

I experimented with standard curves It wasn't very successful The upper surface of my curves is part of the same spiral as the other parts I believe this is better
