Description

Create a personalized floating ornament with custom text and shapes. Design a unique decoration perfect for holidays or special occasions by customizing various parameters such as text, fonts, colors, and shapes.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Press the customize button and edit the parameters as you want.
  • Export the model in stl and import it into Bambu Studio and select "Arachne Wall generation" and “no supports”.
  • DO NOT RESIZE the model in the slicer. If you need a bigger/smaller ornament, modify the parameters in the customizer
     

Parameters

  • names: The text to display on the ornament. Use * to separate multiple lines (e.g., "Happy*Holidays").
  • shapeChar: Choose an emoji character to shape your ornament. Available options: [🎄, ⭐️, 🌲, ⛄, ⚫, 🔔, ❤️].
    Default: "⭐️"

Text Options:

  • fontType: Select your preferred font from the available options:
    Default: "Black Han Sans"
  • fontSize: Define the font size of the text.
    Default: 8

Color Options:

  • applyColors: When true, applies custom colors to the text and emoji shape.
    Default: false
  • textColor: Specify the color for the text in hexadecimal format (e.g., "#b41525").
    Default: "#b41525"
  • emojiColor: Specify the color for the emoji shape in hexadecimal format.
    Default: "#b41525"

Shape Options:

  • emojiSizeFactor: Adjust the size of the emoji shape. Range is from 0.8 to 2.
    Default: 1
  • width: Define the extrusion width (thickness) of the ornament.
    Default: 6
  • frameWidth: Set the width of the frame around the shape.
    Default: 4

Hanger Options:

  • hangerVerticalOffset: Adjust the vertical offset of the hanger (useful when changing the size of the shape).
    Default: 0

Expert Options:

  • lineWidth: Define the width of the lines holding the text.
    Default: 0.2
  • lineSpacing: Set the spacing between the lines.
    Default: 2
  • heightGap: Define the gap at the top and bottom when drawing lines.
    Default: 0.8
  • verticalLineOffset: Adjust the vertical spacing between lines of text.
    Default: 1

Exporting the Model:

  1. Customize your ornament using the parameters above.
  2. Configure all parameters to your preference.
  3. Generate the model.
  4. Export the model as an 3MF file, ready for 3D printing.

 

Printing Instructions:

  1. Preparation: Download the attached profile, remove the default model, and add your generated model. This ensures the configuration works as expected.
  2. Preview Check: Always check the preview tab to confirm the model is complete and the slicer has not removed any parts.

  3. Aracne Wall Generation: Ensure the Aracne wall generation option is active to generate the necessary overhangs.
  4. Model Orientation: Keep the model orientation as generated to ensure that the overhangs are properly calculated.

Does not work for me as it prints only frame without strings which should hold the name.

Have you activated Arachne wall generation as described in the model description? If you have already done it, can you send me a screenshot of your sliced model with the "lines type" view active? If you end me the generated file by PM, I will take a look into it ASAP

I must admit that I did not change to arachne first, but when I did I got an error and I tried to change some parameters, but strings were allways blue in slicer. Then I tried another model with suspended part in the middle and print of that model was OK. I will test it some more and will let you know.

is it possible that you faced down the model? don't know why but it makes the slicer fail. I think I will add an option for rotate the text so it is already faced down. As I said before, feel free to send me the model by PM and I will take a look
