This is my first project, sorry for the crappy quality. Still very new to 3D printing. Would love to hear some ideas for improvements!
This is a display frame for the Paper Theater series of crafts by a Japanese company called Ensky. Many of these crafts feature Studio Ghibli but I think there are others as well. Given the crafts are made of paper, they can be quite fragile, so I designed this box for display and protective purpose. This is a 3D print for the display box only, not the papercraft inside.
This should fit the “PT” series of crafts. Finished papercraft should be around W80mm x H100mm x D42mm. The lid fits over a box so that the project does not fall out. I printed with PLA Matte Latte Brown to simulate the feeling of cardboard/parchment paper. The lid might be a little snug.
There are two versions. One with feet on the back of the box so the display sits straight up. The without feet version tilts back a little and is better suited for tabletop display given how small these projects are. The no-feet version also works for horizontal projects.
I haven't figured out how to make a light box yet, but that is definitely a possiblity in the future!
