Description

Hi all

This is a book nook horror inspired by a Space battle on Star Wars

You can find 2 plate so you can chose what version print (all plate consists of 5 pieces box with Millennium Falcon, 2 Tie and Black Star)

The first one is the Book Nook Version

The second is a Wall mount Version

and yes mate, this one have a lot of support, so arm yourself with patience ;D

The advice I can give to those who want as much detail as possible is to print the millennium, tie and the death star with a 0.2 nozzle, alternatively for those who can print it in resin

the dimension is approximately 11x10x21cm you can scale it as you wish

At the back there is a niche, in the book nook version, where you can place a weight to prevent the piece from falling forward

enjoy

Hi, is it possible to have more details on the technique that you have used to obtain this beautiful result ? Type of paint and technique ?

Replying to @.max. :
Drybrushing is pretty easy to get atleast decent results. I used generic black and white acrylic paint and a brush (makeup foundation brush) from a ”dollar store”. Mix a slightly lighter gray than your filament. Put a dab of the paint on the brush and brush most of it away on a piece of tissue paper (or cardboard). Than brush aggressively across all edges. Let it dry. Mix slighty lighter gray, repeat but a little more gently this time. Repeat with gradually lighter grays as many times as you can be arsed to and be more gentle with the brush each passing layer. Last layer can be almost white and hit only the largest edges/corners gently. Easiest way to botch up this is to use too much paint on the brush. There are many drybrush tutorials on youtube…

Glad you have gotten into doing the star wars side.. its just gone on the list. Only tiny issue that makes it a long print (even on a new printer) is the sensor dish on the top of the falcon, could you make it as a 2 piece? if not i can spend some time doing this myself but might be helpful for others that cant, having this option too? :) thanks and keep up the great work !

Worked great. I did small pieces in 0.2 mm nozzle and Falcon in 0.4 mm nozzle because it would have taken too long. Falcon still took 13 hours. Bambu basic PLA black and silver.
