Description

This enchanting dice tower is a second edition of my original which has been completely re-designed to have a unique look and slightly larger features to help accommodate different kinds of dice. The wrap-around spiral staircase and base have been enhanced with beautiful details, allowing for a delightful display as the dice randomly bump and roll as they descend.

This is an easy print, and has been carefully designed so that no supports are required. The tower is just under 18 cm tall, allowing it to be printed on smaller volume printers as well.

This print is amazing. The artistry and detail of the piece inspired me to do a detailed miniature painting job. I spent about 5 hours painting it. I first printed it in black and then painted successive layers of dark gray, stone gray, and medium gray (almost a beige, actually). There are about 8 layers of paint in all, not counting the door, wooden handrail, and moss. We played a game with it and it handled all of the dice beautifully. I added a photo of it with painted miniature figures.

scaled up to maximum build volume of the X1C with the Bambu wood PLA using 0.08mm HQ with 0.4 nozzle very happy, had a few false spaghetti warnings, left the front door open a little bit, took 2 days to print

It's Inland Mystic 3 Color Silk (Orange Blue Green) from Microcenter.

I guess I'd say the larger base platform so the dice have less chance to escape

Really happy with how it turned out thanks! Printed in Black and Gold Dual Colour Silk PLA on my P1S. Only change I'd make would be reducing the Top Surface speed for a smoother finish.

Biggest print to date, only a newbie. Delighted with the results. Printed with no issues at all. Will be given to a family member who is nuts about board games. Thank you very much 😊

Looks fantastic. Unfortunately, during my print, the three lower railing posts were knocked over (which I only noticed at the end of the print). However, functionality remains unaffected, and I don’t need to discard the 12-hour print

Very strange as mine failed in the exact same way. Bambu A1. Most peculiar, but I do see a fair number of successful prints, so try try again. :) UPDATE: I also noticed that the stair posts on my print are VERY fragile, they snapped off with so little effort. I am going to fully recalibrate on the Silk filament, perhaps the flow rate is insufficient and not enough filament is there thus making the joints weak? As always, tuning is critical.

What a beautifully designed print. Flawless with no need to tidy up post printing. Amazing work. Printed using the designer default profile in Overture rock pla.
