I first tried the BL procedure and thought it was a poor solution.  I used all three when I made them and honestly think they helped my Z-axis tremendously. my prints since then have been flawless.

These worked perfectly to reset the back bearing on my X1C without having to remove the hotend. Nice design, thanks for uploading!

<p>Got a Z bearing that popped up? These bearing resetters snap on the three Z rods then you manually drive the hotbed up and push the bearings back in place. I had one bearing popped up and these worked quite well, 16mm OD and 8mm ID.</p>
