【Model Introduction】

On YouTube, I stumbled upon a wooden version of an AK47 rubber band gun toy made by a foreign creator, and I really wanted to have one. But the creator used wood to make it, which was too difficult for me. However, I found that the creator's design drawings were free to download, so I downloaded them and decided to use 3D printing to realize it. After a few days of studying the drawings, modeling, modifying, printing, testing, and a series of other operations, I finally successfully recreated the creator's wooden version of the AK-47. Now I am sharing it with everyone for the first time. If you also want an AK-47 that can shoot rubber bands, download and print it quickly.

【Function Description】

1、The model is 1:1 scale of the real AK47.

2、Supports single shot and burst fire (rapidly pressing the trigger is single shot mode, similar to tap firing), holding down the trigger is burst fire mode (can empty the loaded bullets).

3、Supports removing the magazine, which can store about 20 rubber bands.

4、The model fires 10CM diameter rubber bands (if you don't have one, you can use two 4CM diameter rubber bands connected together as a bullet).

5、The actual weight of the model is about 1.1 kilograms, which feels great in the hand.

6、Includes some target hearts for shooting practice (let's play chicken game).

6、The original wooden version has over 90 parts, I have optimized and improved it, and the number of parts is only 41.

【Printing Instructions】

1、Due to different printer brands, consumable filament, printing environment, etc., I cannot guarantee that you will be able to print successfully.

2、The model itself is not a problem, I have done printing tests, and the shooting and other functions work normally. If you fail to print or the print quality is poor, please do not suspect that it is the model's problem. Please first suspect whether there is a problem with your print settings, environment, consumable filament, etc.

3、Different printers have different printing tolerances, so during assembly, if you find that you cannot assemble, please use sandpaper, blades, and other tools to polish the model. I believe there are always more solutions than difficulties, don't complain when you encounter problems, you should think about how to solve them.

4、To avoid wasting your time and money, it is recommended to take a look at the assembly tutorial first. If you feel that your hands-on ability is sufficient, then you can print this model. Otherwise, please give up to avoid wasting your time and money.

5、If you can't understand the assembly tutorial, then I advise you to give up... The tutorial is already very detailed, what else do you want for free?

6、Some supports may not be easy to remove, but as long as you master the method, it is very easy to remove. For example, use a utility knife to cut the support surface of the support, and then use pliers to remove the support.

7、I use a P1S machine and I have enabled the rage mode, which shortens the printing time. Of course, you need to decide whether to enable rage mode based on your machine configuration and consumables. Generally, it is okay to enable motion mode. If you enable rage mode, it is recommended to turn off the chassis fan, otherwise, the model may fail when printing inner and outer walls. These are my personal experiences, for reference only.

【Bill of Materials】

1、Strong adhesive glue for 3D models (I use 5800 glue, there are many on Pinduoduo, I didn't buy the real thing, a counterfeit will do).

2、Self-tapping screws (length 5MM~20MM), which can be used to fix the upper and lower layers of the model.

3、One soft spring with a diameter of 4MM~6MM and a length of 16MM, just about the same, the diameter and length don't have to be exactly the same, it's OK as long as it can lock the magazine.

4、Nothing else, just prepare some common tools, such as: utility knife, pliers, screwdriver, sandpaper, lighter, etc.
