I see no reason to use ABS as PLA is much easier and less toxic to print, unless you have absolute tons of ABS laying around :D

Then definitely go for the PLA! I'd get non-matte (just Basic PLA or any other PLA/PLA+ from other brands) for the lighter colours, matte is a lot less transparent and the colour fading will not be as good
