Each project takes hours or days of design and testing. There are also a few or a dozen test prints to make sure everything fits as best as possible. Description:
I designed these covers primarily for aesthetic reasons, but not only.
Grease accumulates in this place, especially after lubricating the Z axis.
Additionally, dirt, dust and filament remnants get there.
It is very difficult to clean this place because of many nooks and crannies and poor access.
With these covers it's much easier to control it all and it looks much better now :):):).
I designed these covers to match the style of my previous design, the Z Axis Lower Bearing Cover, available at:
Installation:
STEP 1:
Place the first part in its place.
STEP 2:
Slide the second part from above onto the first one along the Z-axis screw.
It may happen that the cover does not fit well.
This is because the screws have some sideways play and could be closer to the side when turning.
In this case, break off a piece of the flange from the cap in the place where the screw is too close.
Printing:
Layer height 0.16 mm
The filling will still be 100% no matter what we set ;)
We need to enable thin wall detection!!!
Attention:
As for the rear cover, I haven't tried to put this cover on, it will probably fit as well.
Good luck and I invite you to test my other projects ;)
