Boost Me (for free)

Each project takes hours or days of design and testing. There are also a few or a dozen test prints to make sure everything fits as best as possible. If you like my project, appreciate my work and want new projects of this type to be created in the future, support me so that I will be motivated to continue working 😉
Thank you for current and future boost 😉

Description:

I designed these covers primarily for aesthetic reasons, but not only.

Grease accumulates in this place, especially after lubricating the Z axis.

Additionally, dirt, dust and filament remnants get there.

It is very difficult to clean this place because of many nooks and crannies and poor access.

With these covers it's much easier to control it all and it looks much better now :):):).

I designed these covers to match the style of my previous design, the Z Axis Lower Bearing Cover, available at:

Installation:

STEP 1:

Place the first part in its place.

STEP 2:

Slide the second part from above onto the first one along the Z-axis screw.

It may happen that the cover does not fit well.

This is because the screws have some sideways play and could be closer to the side when turning.

In this case, break off a piece of the flange from the cap in the place where the screw is too close.

Printing:

Layer height 0.16 mm

The filling will still be 100% no matter what we set ;)

We need to enable thin wall detection!!!

Attention:

As for the rear cover, I haven't tried to put this cover on, it will probably fit as well.

Good luck and I invite you to test my other projects ;)

It doesn't hold well in place, it falls after the first print of the next part :(

Hi. Check whether the heads of the screws are not close to the side walls. If so, in the places where they are close, you need to break off a piece of the collar from the cover. Unfortunately, these screws may be closer or further from the side wall because they have some play and everything depends on their installation. If you still have problems, let me know 😉

I honestly don't really understand what your problem is. If it involves printing, degrease the plate thoroughly, and if that doesn't help, use glue to increase adhesion.

Strength Issue:The part got crunched and pops off every time

Can you write down exactly what is happening?

The part gets collided with the lead screw and there is not enough gap in between the screw and the part, causing it to fall apart and the things that clip together are way to tight of a fit to get together so I had to shave it down

Nothing should collide with anything like that. Did you mount the cover correctly? Did you read the institutions how to mount it? Maybe you put it on upside down...
