Description

IMPORTANT: to ensure the ring works as intended, DO NOT modify the contents of the build plates. The only modification allowed is the one explained at the end of the description, in the 'Tips' section.

Description

I designed this fidget ring because I couldn’t find any existing models that felt quite right. I wanted something simple and quick to print, but still functional and tailored to my preferences. The result is a minimalist, comfortable fidget ring that’s easy to use.

The project includes 23 different sizes ready to print, so you can easily find the one that fits you best. Printing is quick: each ring takes about 15 minutes. It’s a small, stress-relieving accessory that’s easy to carry around without any fuss.

Tips

If the two parts of the ring end up sticking together after printing, or if there’s too much friction when rotating, you can adjust the fit by slightly scaling only the outer part of the ring in the X and Y directions by a small fraction of a millimeter. Just be sure to turn off the "uniform scale" option before resizing!

It works fine but this is not the best one. I like the design tho, its slim and the pattern feels and looks good.
Other Issues:The filament on the bottom stuck to both parts, so I had to chisel it until they are separated. I tried to remove the brim after a long cooldown time, but I think it was harder.

thanks for the feedback! anyway make sure to let the ring cool down a little more before trying to remove the brim, then it should come off more easily

After it finished printing, I had to free a little bit but after that it works super well and I love wearing it. I have also printed this again for some of my friends.

My go-to jewelry print. My first print stuck, but I followed your instructions on increasing the diameter by 1mm. I eventually changed it to 0.75mm and it was perfect. Both versions spun effortlessly after being printed. I plan to try your other design. Make more designs. I love making these rings and wearing them. Thanks for sharing. I used Eryone PLA silk in tri-color.

Scaled the outer ring by 101% X and Y wise, shimmying the two rings together I could separate both of them without having a big influence in the quality of the rolling part. My mom wanted a thinner one so I scaled Z for both parts at 66% and it looks perfect! Awesome model!

Printed pretty nicely, but the brim was a little stubborn. Maybe I just didn't wait for it to cool enough. Getting the pieces separated was some work but we got there. A little bit of PTFE WD-40 and it spins quite nicely. The pattern to keep grip on the inside can get annoying after a while.

thank you for the detailed feedback! I'm glad the print came out well. as for the brim, yes, it can be a bit difficult to remove if you don't wait for it to cool completely. you can also try printing it without the inner brim. I added it to prevent the ring from shifting during printing, but it should still come out well without it

I give it 4 stars because I didn't read the instructions carefully and it's a bit intricate to assemble Thank you for sharing

It's very nice and all. The only downside is that it is to thick so it is very uncomfortable to wear between the fingers, except for the thumb where it's just perfect

thank you for the rating! unfortunately that's the thinner I could make, since otherwise it would be impossible to have a print in place spinning system
