Description

Artpast Regular

Introducing the Tread Walker Mech, the sixth and last of my second series of Sci-Fi Tank Model kits!

The Tread Walker Mech is a transforming mech that can switch from walking mode to tread mode. Walking mode allows the Tread Walker to traverse uneven and rough terrain while tread mode allows the Tread Walker to move rapidly over flat terrain.

The model kit consists of 19 parts that come together for a total of 16 moving joints.

As always, this model kit features snap-fit joints, no supports, and no glue required.

Am I folding this wrong? I feel kinda stupid but I can't seem to get it to line up straight like the pictures.

Came out looking great, I love the treads. One minor issue though, the cannon was quite hard to snap into the turret.

A couple of us are going back and forth in Patreon about this issue and coming up with some ideas. The great thing is, Kit Crafters is very open to suggestions and improvements. I was able to inspire some new tool attachments for the new Repair Mech prototype this way. ;-) I would say, suggest don't demand and you'll get better results. This holds true for ALL designers/creators. I'll post makes of the prints with and without the edits.

I'm mildly obsessed with these amazing models. The snap fit design is near perfect. No mess, no waste. I love it.

awesome print! The legs tend to fall of when in tank mode because of the shape of the ball joints, but otherwise it great!

The latest profile by the designer fix this issue. But the treads won't line up properly. I think there will be other user that upload their profile that will fix this issue. I also have the 3mf file that fix all problems but since I don't have Bambulab printer, I won't upload it here.
