Hey, I love your design. I'm a total beginner at 3d printing and am experiencing some issues with the print. There seems to be some smearing (idk what the actual term is). I am using the provided settings with Bambu Matte PLA filament on an A1 with AMS. Do you have any idea what could be causing these issues?

Is this only the case with one part or with several? If there was only one, the nozzle may not have been clean

Hey, thanks for the answer! I printed 4 coasters at once and they all have similar issues. I can add more pictures if needed. The top layer also doesn't feel smooth, at the parts with issues I can feel some tiny pieces if filament sticking out, and even crumbling off as I go over them.

I found the issue.. I have an A1 with .4mm nozzle. Apparently advanced settings get lost when switching profiles, if you don't have the advanced section showing... It's looking a lot better now. Still a few tiny issues but that might be because I only printed one coaster this time.

I achieved 19% shrinkage during ironing, as the standard settings usually result in insufficient shrinkage. 19% was a bit too much for the fine details, but it turned out quite well nonetheless.

Looks great, yes, the ironing is always heavily filament dependent.

Being a newb to 3D printing, it still boggles my mind that something so detailed and quality looking can be made in your own home!

This is a very good file for one of the first times I've used Bambu Lab, I need to see how to improve it

I'm 72% through an 8hr print with 2hr12m left to go 🙂 Had a scare at one point, it just got to the layer for filling in the red and orange and they were back to front, the nose was red and the hat & scarf were orange. Could have sworn all the right colours were selected in the AMS when I sent the print through. I took a chance and swapped the reels over whilst it was working on black and it seems to have rectified it. 😅 UPDATE: It finished and looks great, will add another picture of the set with a well deserved boost!!

A truly exquisite model, though unfortunately somewhat marred during surface smoothing

Very nice. Only small thing is I ended up with a black line on the white on his belly in the same place for all 4 of them. Not too fussed. Happy with how they turned out.
