This Time Fragments Levitation Pyramid is the ideal choice for offices, living rooms, studies, or any space seeking a harmonious blend of technology and art. It serves not only as a captivating ornament but also as a conversation starter, igniting boundless imagination about technology and art.
Material Usage: Material selection impacts light transmission. During testing, we utilized AMS multi-color printing: the pyramid's inner wall used PETG Translucent; the outer shell used PETG_. However, transparent PLA combined with PLA Silk is also feasible. The key is to use materials with similar properties. Transparency is key for optimal light transmission. If you have better color recommendations, please share them.
Base and Mounting Tool Recommendation: Bambu PLA Matte.
Feel free to mix and match colors to create your unique quantum aesthetic.
This levitation pyramid is compatible with the Magnetic Levitation Kit, including the core, float, and power supply.
Assembly Instructions:
Base:
1. Connect the magnetic levitation power cable to the base, then insert the magnetic levitation core into the base, and connect the interfaces (tweezers may be helpful). Install four foot pads on the bottom of the base; apply anti-slip pads if the surface is slippery.
2. Assemble the touch switch panel and secure it to the inside of the base top cover using double-sided tape or strong adhesive tape. The touch area is marked with a triangle. (If the light switch is unresponsive, check if it's properly secured.)
3. Organize the wires, align the base top cover, and press firmly to secure.
Levitating Pyramid:
Insert the float into the pyramid body and tighten the bottom securing cover (use the mounting tool if needed).
1. Slowly and gently place the pyramid body (with the float) in the center of the base and feel the buoyancy changes. If the buoyancy pulls in a particular direction, lift and reposition the model until it levitates successfully.
2. Control the LED lights using the external touch switch on the base. There are cool white, warm white, and warm yellow settings.
Special Note: Achieving levitation on the first attempt requires patience. We've included a support bracket in the print files, which is optional.
The support bracket helps locate the center point quickly, improving levitation success rate.
Some users achieve levitation easily, while others may require several attempts. Patience is key, and the reward is the joy of successful levitation. In short, try multiple times. If you have a better method, feel free to share it in the comments.
*If levitation is unsuccessful after multiple attempts, the base might overheat due to frequent magnetic field adjustments, entering an overheat protection mode. In this case, unplug the power supply and wait 10-20 minutes or longer before retrying.
