Description

For this project, I wanted to create a custom defense token for Spirit Island. After looking at some alternatives already out there, I've only noticed a generic shield icon defense token. However, I wanted a design that has the defense amount, but also matches the spirit island designs. Also, I love magnets so I had to create a design for that.

I have two different styles for the defense tokens:

  1. Magnetic - Has a bottom and top section to print. I opted for an embedded magnet, so I added a pause the the print at layer 11 (I think) where you add can your magnet. I designed this to hold a 8mmx2mm Magnet (the hole is 8.2mm x 2.2mm).
  2. Static - This is designed for if you don't want a magnet. The depth is reduced to match the exact depth of the original defense token, while the diameter is close to the original design. The two sections of the magnetic version are basically combined for this version.

Please let me know if you have any questions, it has been a blast designing this!

I printed all the defense tokens in black/gray with the numbers in white on top - worked like a charm! I'm planning to print the most used in multiples again, I think I'll need a lot more twos than twenties. Currently trying to keep a tally sheet, will create a print plate with the most used afterwards 😀 Thank you for sharing this!

My gaming group loved these enough I now need to print them for each player color.

That's awesome Mike! Which version did you end up printing? Let me know if there is anything I can improve on!

Replying to @dgl888 :
I don't think there is anything to improve. I printed from the STLs to make it easy to setup my own preference for the number of each token and they came out great using the default Bambu Studio settings with the 0.4mm hotend.
