Description

A Tabletop Trebuchet is the perfect tool for all your miniature siege needs. This design is fully printed except for the coins in the counterweight. Any coin with a diameter smaller than 28mm can fit in the counterweight. Adding more coins to the counterweight will increase the range of the trebuchet. I like to use 40 US quarters which weigh about 224 grams. The range can also be adjusted with the ratcheting hook. Changing the angle of the hook changes the release angle of the projectile. Pushing the ratchet all the way in will launch the projectile more horizontally. Pulling the ratchet all the way out will launch the projectile more vertically.

  • Coins x 40: Adjust the number of coins depending on the desired range. I usually use 40 US quarters.

I was able to frankenstein a piece for the a1 mini by scaling to 70% and using pencil graphite in the attachment points and filling the bucket with dimes. Please make a model for the mini so normal filament can fill the holes and more weight in the bucket.

I'm impressed by your ingenuity. I did not think the model could be scaled down. I will consider making a scaled down version but I am worried it will require a compete redesign.

with less counterweight it works fine. the only problem really is holding it together tightly and i dont know how to make the holes the size they need to be to be held together correctly.

Well designed! Has the most similarities to a real-life Trebuchet on Maker World.
