Love these, with the exception of the bottom screw on part. I had to glue the "trunk" on since it wouldn't snap and stay, and the screw part is really thin so it can be hard to get it back off. But that's all being nitpicky, and not actual design flaw. I hand painted mine to give it some oomph. :)

Thank you for your comment. The trunk must actually be glued. This is a design choice I had to make to keep the base thin enough and avoid supports if I had only made it in one piece. This also allows those who wish to use the tree without the trunk. I'm thinking of replacing the screwable part with a "quarter turn" system as soon as I have some time. Happy printing!

Oh good to know. I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong (re: glue vs. snap). It wasn't an inconvenience at all, so it didn't bother me. :) A quarter turn system would be amazing! I love the print, either way. It's wonderful.

Good news: I just redesigned the locking system and publish it as a new profile 🙂

its good all the way up to the star. still pretty fun to print though and will probably be hard to notice once I get a light in it and placed in the dark.

Hello, I'm sorry that the star printed incorrectly when changing colors. I have had no further comments regarding this issue. I see stringing and the yellow is mixed with the white. This seems to be a problem with your filament (adjustment, humidity or purging)

This is not my filament. Just go and look at other peoples pictures. The star is just as messed up in a lot of people's, if not worse than mine. I'm trying to give feedback to help printer profiles. It is now up to you to decide what to do with it.

printed 8 in multicolours (2x per plate, printed via app), no issues. the star is totally printed with a different color without lines..

how does it look in the dark?

It looks great! I only got an unclean result with the star. I used white PLA Basic and golden PLA Silk for the star. I reduced the speed to 50% on the P1S. But it didn't improve anything. Any ideas?

Thank you for your comment. I just uploaded a new profile with the star printed separately. You just have to insert it at the top of the tree.

Great, thanks a lot! Can you also release a profile for the P1S? The new profile is only available for A1.

It should be a bug because I also checked the option for P1 and X1... Anyway, I will upload a new profile specifically for P1S and X1C this evening

Wife and neighbour love this model, have had to make a few more. I just coloured the star with acrylic pen.
