Description

I made the next cool piece of my small collection! :)

This little shield protects the Z axis bearing from dirt falling on it and it even looks cool because I also placed a small Bambu logo on it!

Use it for all three threaded reels!

Update 2024.11.19.

After a lot of positive feedback, I strangely got some negative comments saying that the part was not suitable. I investigated the problem and I had to realize that they were right! :)

The manufacturer used to mount the printer with smaller head screws (~D4.9 mm) in the previous models, while the 3D printers are now equipped with larger head screws (~D5.5 mm).

I modified the model and now you can find both versions!

PLA Z-axis bearing shield

Check your printers screw width! I printed mine first with the original design and it was too small. Thankfully quick reply from the designer and model change to adapt to different screw sizes makes it fit perfectly. I can happily change my rating to 5 stars :)

ah, now as I'm reading the description it looks like you've added new model for bigger screws on the 19th - I've printed mine on the 12 November so it wasn't yet available. Thanks for the hint, will give it a go and test out in about an hour. If it works I'll let you know !

Snug fit. First time I tried to place it but it was too loose. Did not know that you should do a small press so the screws are in the chamfer for the holes. The back z axis rod placement is a bit hard for larger hands to place.
