I found some old playing cards belonging to my mother in boxes in the garage, she loved playing cards!

This box is designed for classic Italian playing cards, the kind used for games like scopa, briscola, tressette, or Christmas games like bestia or sette e mezzo.
There are several different types in Italy, and they vary depending on the region. Besides the Piacenza cards, there are the Neapolitan, Bergamo, Trentino, Bolognese, Milanese, etc., and they can have either Italian or Spanish suits, or the classic French suits.

My mother particularly loved these Piacentine cards!

So, I decided to preserve these cards as well, they are a cherished memory of her, and as you can see from the photos, the original cardboard case was very worn with time!

In this case, the storage box is my slim version.
