I have designed a self-watering planter pot here with a diameter of 17cm from the company Elho. The insert fits perfectly into the planter and it also has enough clearance to easily remove it.
For me, simply the best watering insert there is and perfectly suited for mineral substrate.

For 100% water tightness, I recommend spraying and sealing the lower area with clear acrylic-based varnish. This is how I do it with all my self-printed pots.
You can certainly scale it up or down to get more sizes. The planter looks best in matte filaments, of course.
The image was printed with Bambu Basic PLA in gray.
To get a uniform surface finish, I recommend printing the outer walls/surface at a maximum of 50mm/s, then there will also be no differences in the sheen of the filament.
