Couch Dog Toy Blocker

This is a model designed to prevent balls (and other toys) from rolling (or being thrown) under the couch. While it was specifically designed for dog toys (balls in particular), it is useful for just about any toy!

This design can also be used on other furniture to block toys from rolling or sliding underneath.

How it Works

There are three models in the included 3MF file. All models have been designed to be used with 0.5 inch dowels (I bought mine from Home Depot).

The first model is an end piece that can be attached to the couch legs and holds the dowels at their ends:

Note that my couch legs had a slight angle to them so I created two versions of this design. One has a slight angle and one is flat.

The second model is a middle connector piece for joining two segments together. This is great when the distance that needs to be covered is greater than the maximum dowel length:

The third model is a support piece. If the dowel has to span long distances it can support the middle to prevent any bowing. This model can be hung from the bottom of the couch or attached to the floor:

Only the end connector pieces are needed if you are covering a short distance. Otherwise all three pieces can be used to cover a long distance:

Different Sizes

Right now I have only designed these models for 0.5 inch dowels. If you want a different size let me know in the comments and I will add that size.
