My partner wanted a unique item for one of her doll displays. I needed something to store the small objects on my desk that seem to pile up. We both love the unique creations of Henk Verhoeff we've seen online (Google his work if you haven't seen it). So I set out to make a 3D printable cracked dresser.
Printed full size, this is a big and sturdy print using a little over a full spool of filament. I chose to print this in Bambu's Matte Beige PLA, but I've also tried it in some wood filled filaments and it looks great in both. I printed the handles in Stronghero Coextrusion filament as it just gave me the closest look to what I was seeking. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
If you choose to slice it yourself, I'd recommend putting a brim on the small parts just to ensure they don't dislodge during printing. I also used a small brim on the main body of the dresser just to ensure that it didn't peel over the long print, but this was probably overkill. I'd also recommend organic supports for the drawers on build plate only to minimize the marring just to the interior overhangs. This assembles with no glue, but a touch of superglue under on the pegs certainly wont hurt anything.
