Description

I love the film Tron, and what it represents in the history of CGI and 3D modeling, which impacts what we do now so significantly. So I wanted to recreate the tank from the 1982 film, based on screen shots from the movie.

If this post is popular I may recreate other models from the film.

Assembly Instructions:

Once you have printed out all three parts, place the column part in the shaped hole on the cannon part, i would recommend gluing this, using hot glue, super glue or any other glue of your choice.

place the smaller cylindrical shaped part of the column in the matching hole on the tank body, If you wish to pose the tank gun, then leave don't glue the column to the body, however if you want a stronger model, I would recommend gluing it in place.

Problems:

Because this model requires parts fitting together, there may be issues with fitting parts together, depending on printer calibration, and several other variables, to get around this, you may wish to remove material from the cavities or the column piece, this could be done by using sandpaper, or a sharp blade.

This one was a far better model with WAY fewer supports than yours. They even posted pictures of an actual print https://makerworld.com/en/models/675531

Maybe, but it's actually printable without a ton of supports... Have you tried actually printing yours?
