Description

Update as of 23/10/24:

I've changed the model slightly such that the clicking mechanism print better and clicks better.

Two optimized print profiles have been added, one normal one, and one with looser tolerances for easier printing.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My latest fun clicking, clacking, and swooshing fidget toy!

For the best results, use dry filament, calibrate your filament, and calibrate your printer.

I recommend using Bambulabs filament.

Check out my other fidgets!

Good model, but button spring does not seem to be strong enough to return the button.

Agreed. Maybe the tab is just a hair too long? Otherwise, the other functions are buttery.

I have encountered a similar issue, the button does not automatically pop back out when pressed. It needs to be pulled out manually.

Came out perfect! Painted surfaces I wanted to make them unique in their own way inside the bambu studio app. Took 3 hours but worth it!

Thank you! First time actually trying it like this, and it worked wonders! Of course I now realized I used a print profile that isn't recommended and on the white one, the button doesn't click, but that's my own negligence of not paying attention and being eager! Overall, nice model!

The button click is failing, otherwise everything is fine.

yeah but it's on the design unfortunately... if you find the way finally it clicks!this is why I kept the profile.

Optimized print profile!
I have printed two times with the old profile and and it was not good, but the new works almost perfectly except for that little piece of the button but it doesn’t effect the functionality

Likewise, the click button is not sufficiently wide.

I printed with silk PLA just as a test. works great except for the Clicky bits. Will have to try a different filament

The print profile is no longer public
Nice, but it doesn't click. I think the part where that would click needs to be longer?

Other Issues:The gyroscope printed fine, but the wheel won't spin no matter what and the button goes down, but not fully back up, so it doesn't click properly, I'll try later to see if I can print it since it's a shame, seems like a very cool fidget

Hi, there seems to be a blob on the pin for the button, I think this is a layer adhesion issue, what printer, filament, and print plate are you using?

Replying to @loui :
Hii, I think I see the blob now that you mention it I'm using a P1S and the standard PEI plate (the one that came with the printer), with Sunlu PLA+ I'm quite new with FDM so It's probably some error in my part hahaha

the pin for the button did not print correctly, but it might be an issue with bed adhesion on my side. tolerances for the clicky wheel are a bit tight

Sorry to hear that, it does look like a bed adhesion problem, it also helps to use dry filament and to calibrate the filament. Let me know if this helps!

Strength Issue:The button clicked down and won’t pop back up. the clicker on the side is completely stuck down and won’t spin, no matter how hard I twist. The rings all separated except the smallest one. Printed on my A1. editing: I was able to pop the smallest circle and the clicker. The button still doesn’t work. Added another star.

super glad to see you updated it, but after another print it’s the same exact issue here. I really like your design and want it to work, but the button clicks down one time and it locks into place. Take a look at my image. when pressed down, it tilts toward the right side on the top and doesn’t click back upwards. I think there needs to be more spring action and a support on the right side of the spring to keep it level, or the clearance on the button needs to be lower so that it stays level in the chamber. I have no idea how to design things yet, so take my advice with a grain of salt!

I'm very sorry to hear that, I've printed several models just fine, so I'm out of options...
