Description

This is a very durable box that is sectioned in 6.

It is printed in place (printed as one piece, on one plate, in one print).

This box is water resistant but not water proof meaning water will get into the box if submerged for a longer period of time (you could use a small amount of silicone to make it waterproof though).

You could use this box for many things including but not restricted to: camping, hiking, fishing ect.
This box does make a good small essential fishing box.

Note that the latch is stiff (this is on purpose so the box doesn't pop open when not intended to) but this latch will get looser over time (It will be very tight the first 5-10 times you open it).

Each compartments internal dimensions (Total storage capacity) are 41mm x 28mm x 30 +4mm (LxWxH) (x6 compartments). And external dimensions (Total area of space the box takes up) of 140mm x 90mm x 45mm (LxWxH).

ATTENTION people of Makerworld, it has come to my attention that this model is very similar to another's.

Though this model is not based on YogiTech's Model, there are many distinctive similarities.

As these are highly similar i see it fair to share YogiTech's model.

You can find it here> https://makerworld.com/en/models/38255#profileId-42959
Go check YogiTech's model out, it seems to be of good quality!

I love the dimensions of this case! is there a version without the inserts? I know there are other options you have made but this size and the way the lid is thin makes this one just perfect.

altho this one has a thicker lid I may design one with a thin lid without inserts if you'd like

That's exactly what I am looking for and would love to have a version like that. I do like the box in your other comment but I think the thinner lid would work well for this item. I tinkered around with adding a negative modifier but I couldn't get it to turn out quite right in the Bambu slicer.

TPU 95 could make it waterproof?

That could be possible... I have thought abt making a TPU gasket but I haven't tested it Although im not to sure if the box will work properly if printed in TPU as the latch needs the rigidity to close... But if you try it do share

if you carved a slot for gasket it would work

Printed smoothly, support broke loose cleanly and easily, all hinges work smoothly after intial grittiness when first rotated. Lid swings into place effectively and mates with base requiring minimal effort to align the two. Printed with SUNLU Grey PLA utilzing Bambu Labs PLA parameters on the P1S and it printed flawlessly with those parameters. Will apply small beed of silicone around parameter of lid to attempt water proof seal.

A lot of stringging but overall not bad. I am worried about the bar that the latch binds to holding up over time. I printed in PETG HF

I seem to get bad results from PETG-HF and i get a lot of people saying that their print did not turn out good and most if not all say that they're using PETH-HF. I have had friends who have also had bad luck with PETG-HF even with good settings. I have just been using regular PETG and it works great, so maybe PETG-HF needs some special settings.

Yeah, I plant to remake it after I get a filament dryer to see if that helps. Otherwise, great design!
