Description

This spring loaded mechanical pill dispenser holds between 2 and 4 pills for each day of the week. The mechanical spring action makes it easy to load and take your pills every day, with a clear indicator showing whether you've taken today's pills. Profiles are available for Morning, Afternoon and Evening pills, but you can modify the text on the Lid object to personalise the container. A version with no text is available by default.

A Non AMS profile has been provided that has the text embossed instead of being in colour so that people without an AMS can still print this model.

Medium (4 to 6 pills) and Large (6 to 8 pills) versions are available as well.

See this video for a guide on how to assemble the container:

Hmm - looks like there might be some extra material on the ribs (elephants foot maybe) or possibly the grooves on the shaft have bulged out at the bottom. The two pieces should fit together very easily (see the video guide for an example). My suggestion would be to take the two piece apart and check the bottom of the ribs and the grooves. You might need to go over them with a blade to scrape off any additional material. Alternatively, you can try reprinting in a different filament, or running flow and pressure advance calibrations to tune in the filament you're using.

This happened to me too, I think it shrunk when it cooled and now doesn’t fit

I really like these things. I printed the spring (and its handle) in white because that is the strongest filament. (Note: if one of your pills is a 13 mm diameter, 7 mm thick one, adding other pills tot the *small* version may be a challenge.)

This is by far the best design for a pill box/dispenser I have come across yet. Thank you!

tried to scale down to 50%, didn't work. 80% worked, though springback doesn't quite work yet. might with more uses. 80% is the smallest you can go and still have legible text on the days. at 50%, totally disappears. but great at 100%! a little a hard to assemble, but pretty great once I got it together! works most of the time!

it takes a little bit of use for the inner caddy to spin smoothly, but the tight fits are great for making sure the days won’t mix or the pulls won’t fall out. It won’t spring back to shut after I slide it to the next day, but that’s not an issue since I take the pills as soon as each day compartment opens. (Friday had the worst day label printing, but the rest are super easy to read

Printed twice and came out great! 1st print I did without calibrating flow rate and everything was a bit too tight. I trimmed the inner part a bit so I could hit it with a hammer into place. It assembled fine after that but the return action was a bit catchy. It worked itself out after a bit of use. (also used skip function) 2nd print I did after flow calibration. The hammer was still required but it didn't require any trimming and it was nice and smooth in operation!
