Description

I remixed this model for easy multi color printing. (old)

I made the numbers a diff color then the top, but you can just change the filament settings if you want it the same.

I released a new version with options for a numbered bottom and a slot for 5x4mm magnets. (new)

I recommend printing the new profile.

I used these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BW8W1XP3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Note: A lot of people seem to have problems with the bottom numbers. This is not a profile issue, this is an adhesion issue. Make sure your plate is clean, and if its not working use glue to help with adhesion. Once that is fixed the numbers will turn out as intended. Any “face down”  multicolor print will not turn out perfect if your adhesion is off.

I will print again, but not from the phone. Going to add a brim. I will change my rating in the future.

Hey there! Ive never had a failure like that before and ive printed quite a few. However I did release a new print profile with the updated model and better settings for the dice. Give that one a try!

Print turned out good, magnets for the lid fit good.

The modeled casings are all slightly different heights, which makes for a bunch more filament changes than necessary, and the baseline print settings with low infill, unsurprisingly, make for loaded dice. The case has markings in the bottom, but the bullets do too, and despite this when the bullet dice are loaded in the case you can't see either marking, and it's very clearly not able to fit them the other way around (lid doesn't meet the case when flipped around, and they're loose). Additionally, the lid doesn't have anything securing it, so it's not so portable on its own. The dice as an idea are really neat, though.

Sounds super cool. But I must be stupid, I don't understand how you can roll dice with this...

the cylinder just holds the dice like a case. The dice them self roll on there sides and the number point up is the number it rolled.

This profile uses a 10% infill which leads to the dice being severely loaded -- I assume with 100% it'd be SLIGHTLY better but they'd never be perfect. The case is a really cool idea but doesn't actually stay closed. I'll probably need to modify it to somehow fit in some small magnets to keep it closed. The dice themselves are pretty cool. I used some overture silk metallic looking PLA for it.

Feel Free to check out the new profile. I've included 4 different case versions. Ones with and without magnets. And ones with and without numbers on the bottom. It uses 5x4mm Magnets.
