If you like my work, please give this model a boost to fuel my creativity and inspire even more unique 3D creations for you.

This is a customizable insert that can be adjusted to fit various tins. You can modify many parameters to generate an insert that will fit perfectly in your tin and meet your exact requirements. I have created a large collection of inserts for Altoids tins, but since Altoids are not available in all countries and the selection of candies in metal tins varies by country, I decided to prepare a fully customizable model using the Make World customization feature for OpenSCAD models.

 

Please do not upload different sizes as remixes or add profiles of it, use the customize button to make your own version.

Parameters:

  • Size:
    • Length 10-200 mm
    • Width 10-200 mm
    • Height 5-50 mm
    • Corner radious 1-20 mm
    • Wall thickness 1.0-5 mm
    • Bottom thickness 0.4-5 mm
       
  • Dividers:
    • Number of vertical dividers 1-9
    • Number of horizontal dividers 1-9
       
    • Divide verticaly whole insert (on/off)
    • Divide horizontaly whole insert (on/off)
    • Number of verticaly divided sections
    • Number of horizontaly divided sections
       
    • Custom vertical dividers position (on/off)
    • Vertical dividers positions
    • Custom horizontal dividers position (on/off)
    • Horizontal dividers positions
       
  • Other:
    • Bottom Chamfer 0-0.6 mm
    • Color

 

The parameters are quite self-explanatory. There is a lot of flexibility in the dividers section. You can specify the number of vertical and horizontal dividers. By default, they are distributed equally, but you can also specify the exact position of each divider. You also have the option to stop the divider in a chosen section.

I would have liked it if it was scaled slightly larger - I didn't realize how loose it would be - but overall it worked well.

This is customizable project, you can generate the model according to your need and then use the profile to print it. The object in the print profile is only example.
