the outside sharp corners of the thin pieces kept curling up at the edges as it got into the higher layers (about halfway through). I tried adjusting some print settings, but had the same corner fail multiple times.

-clean your plate -dry your filament -add a brim I had the same issue where it was going up from the plate, but thankfully it didn't fail. Just do the things I said and it'll be fixed.
