Description

This is my package opener

Use it to open parcels, packages or even letters with your own 3d printed tool!

Bring some interesting tool to your office desk to start conversation with your colleagues or just use it at home.

Recommended filament: PLA or PLA+

Hotend: 0,40mm

Print instructions:

  • layer height 0,20mm
  • 3 wall loops
  • enable “detect thin walls”
  • top/bottom shells 4 layers
  • top/bottom shell thickness 0,80mm
  • sparse infill 20%
  • sparse infill pattern “gyroid”
  • outer layers speed: outer wall 100 mm/s
  • flush options: flush into objects infill

Before printing, make sure your build plate is clean and apply some adhesive. Wash the build plate with oil free soap and wipe it off with some paper towels. For build plate adhesion, apply a thin, even coat of your preferred adhesive. I repeat the process every 5-6 prints.

Bad build plate adhesion is not related to the model.

I sat in my car waiting, and found this one. I had black and glow in the AMS so I fired the print and it was done when we arrived at home. Nice one.... might print more of them. I will give it a BOOST if i find out how to do it. It should be done from here I think would be the best way. @Makerworld come on.........

The print was good so far with PET, but the tip is not stable enough. I will try it with ABS.

PETG is not the right filament for this model. I also recommended PLA or PLA+ in the model description. PETG is not stiff enough for this. ABS should also work. Have fun printing!

Okay, I thought PETG was stronger. Thank you for pointing that out, I will reprint it then. Beginner's mistake... (it won't be the only one)

PETG is more impact-resistant than PLA. Check out this link, it covers all filaments in a guide https://all3dp.com/de/1/3d-drucker-filament-vergleich-beste-arten/
