Description

This custom-designed organizer is tailored specifically for Schmetz domestic sewing machine needles, providing a practical storage solution for home sewists and those on the go. Whether you're attending sewing conventions, guild meetings, or sewing retreats, this box ensures your needles stay organized and secure. It features nine dedicated slots for needle cases, along with two additional smaller compartments for inserting foam to safely store used needles.

The lid offers dual security with a snap closure, and spots for 5x2mm magnets can be added to enhance the lid’s stability during travel. Designed for ease of printing, the two-part box measures approximately 50 x 100 x 50mm and prints cleanly without the need for support material. Additionally, the "Needle Box" text on the lid is fully customizable in Bambu Studio, allowing for personalized touches.

this is super cool just wondering if you could make a version a bit wider for different brands else i might have to figure out how to do it if anyone has tips

I’ll consider adding a second wider model if I revisit the project. You can scale the model in Bambu Studio which may pan out okay.

Made four of these for my sewing friends. I love it! Helps keeps my fur needles and sewing needles in order.

I printed this only to find out afterwards there were a few issues.

I’m not an expert but I believe that roughness is a common speed related problem for example using aftermarket pla with a high speed print profile. If that’s the case, a custom filament profile may be needed to limit the speed found in typical Bambu profiles which allow for higher accelerations and speeds. I could be wrong however and in that case I don’t know what would cause this on a side wall and seam.
