Description

The cutest ornament to go with your Grinch collection this season.

Customize your ornaments with 1-10 heads available.

Add text in Makerworld

Scale up and make this piece into wall décor or hand on your front door. You can also take off the hook if you'd like. Click on Objects to access components.

 so many possibilities.

 Edit to add 1-10 heads

Edit to show others what happens when you take a print made to be printed flush (upside down) when you turn it right side up, before slicing , you will see what almost looks like a glitch in the colors, almost psychedelic looking. No, you are not seeing anything, its ok and will still print and slice fine.

Here is before slice….

Its's only after you slice your print, that you will see exactly how your object will print.

my name transferred to my slice and all my colors look great, I'm ready to print.  On this page if your text didn't transfer, you need to go back and check your model and make sure your text is set correctly with no errors. Sometimes after changing settings for text using the scale tool, the text automatically gets lifted off the model, either causing an error about needing support or your text will not show up on the finished sliced model. If that is the case, do not print, you have some further troubleshooting to make the missing text appear. try either raising the text up a bit or lowering it down into the model a bit.

The 1 head & 4 head turn out great. The problem is the 2 head is upside down so it won’t print the names. I’m struggling with it, so much easier if it was flipped over. Also wish they were all the same with the white outline and back instead of some white some black.

the two head was changed to the contour awhile back, when did you print it ? also what do you mean by flipped over? you can flip it manually by using the rotate tool and rotate it 180 on the on the y axis

Having an issue with the 6 head version. When I slice it in Bambu Studio, the names disappear. Additionally, in the Prepare screen, the model is buggy and not displaying correctly.

the colours all look weird and buggy because of the way it’s coloured. Once sliced, it should look fine. when you put your names on, did you adjust sizes through the scale tool at all? sometimes when you adjust fonts with the scale tool, it actually lifts the letters up to high so you may get a warning for needing support once sliced. also if you lower the font to much into the object, it also disappears once sliced. try playing around with it and as soon as my dinners done. I will go on just to be sure there is no issue with that profile. sorry your having troubles

Thank you for the reply. I lowered the letters into the print so that they were flush with the rest of the print; comes out to 0.01. I did this using the Text box on the right side of Bambu Studio. The font I used was Arial Bold, I believe. After printing, there was nothing on the faces of the Grinch heads, just the green color. I had used white filament for the names. Is there a way I can send you a short video of what I see when in the prepare tab of Bambu Studio?

I also opened this in Orca Slice just to rule out Bambu Studio, but the same results with the glitching colors.

When you say to add your text in MakerWorld, how and where do you do that? You don't download it into Bambu first?

Thank you for your reply, but there is something that I am missing about adding the text. If I go to 'Objects' and click on each one, there isn't one that allows me to add or even edit text. How do I get to do that?

some of the ornaments have no names as references so you need to add your own. there are many great YouTube videos to help walk you through it or you can just click on the text tool, set text settings to match this picture, move your courser where you want text, resize text if needed and click to place it. repeats steps for all other names

So I printed this one this morning on my P1S but only 3 of the 5 names printed and some of the lettering didn't come out, what did I do wrong ? Any tips?

hi, maybe when you placed those names, if you resized in anyway, sometimes Bambi lifts the letters up for some reason. try using the move tool to pull those names down onto the model until you see the model highlighted so you know they are laying flat on the model

The model is so darn adorable! This was my first time adding text to a model so it was a good learning experience. Thank you!
