Description
As they all do.. the clips that hold my Garage door opener together broke during a battery change. So here we are.. I made replacement shell.
Probably will make more with different shapes.. if you have any ideas let me know. Really want to make one of a dogs face where you press the nose to open the garage… it will happen eventually. just need to get my skill there!
Build Notes
The spot for the visor clip is tight so it doesn't pull or fall out. It will take some force to get it in there and recommend hitting the metal clip with a lighter for a few seconds, you don't need it super hot! just enough to get it to slide in and so it solidifies and holds the clip in place. a little bit so it warms up the filament going in.. don't be dumb like me and wear gloves! safety first!
- You have to remove the metal + battery terminal from the old shell please see photos below. When you move it over to the new case, it slides down till it can not slide down anymore and that should be the correct spot for it to sit.
