After searching everywhere for a PTFE tube adapter for my Creality Space Pi, I couldn’t find one that works with the original silicone plug to seal the filament dryer when not connecting to the PTFE tube. So, I made my own! This PTFE Tube Adapter - Creality Space Pi fits perfectly with the original silicone seal and keeps the PTFE tube securely in place. It only takes 30 minutes to print with 2.5g of filament. Material with temperature resistant is recommended since the dryer heats up to 70°C when in use. (PETG works fine in my case)

 

Required:

  • 20mm PTFE Tube (You can cut it from the spare PTFE tube that came with the printer)

Guide:

  • Insert the original silicon seal on the top and the 20mm PTFE tube from the button

  • Insert the assembly through the hole on Creality Space Pi

  • Insert the PTFE tube from the printer through the silicon seal

Known Issues:

  • No known issues

Updates:

  • 09/11/2024 - Added a version with tube holder and cutout for the popular vent spacer

  • 12/11/2024 - Make the tube holder hole through to prevent hard-to-remove supports (thanks to @azslow3 for the suggestion)

The adapter fit perfectly and original part will not be lost. But I think the modification can be improved. Automatic support is hard to remove, especially from the hall, and the tube is too loose there (in primary part the hall is way deeper, it has no such problem).

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try to figure out an improvement to make it possible to be printed without support.

Just checked the old model again. If you're using my print profile, I've included a support blocker in the hall, so there should only be a support on the tube holder (which I will try to improve in future versions).

I was writing about "tube holder" hall in the extended profile version. Sorry for misleading terms I have used in the original comment. I have just re-download the profile, to be sure I have not messed something. You have support blocker for primary hall, but not for tube holder. Also tube holder hall has bigger diameters (~4.44mm vs 4.10mm), that explains why tube is loose in it.
