MODERN DESIGN SLIDE BOX

I would like to introduce you to my SLIDE BOX.

it is a simple modern design which fits in every household.

You don't need an AMS for it. Everything is designed for it.

The assembly is also very simple. Just plug everything together and you're done. If the slider is not in the guide the first time, don't panic, you can also remove it later with a little skill in the assembled state and reposition it.

if it is a little more difficult to open, simply oil it a little

The holder for the slider just needs to be plugged together in the same way as the side parts.

We need more people to make things with no AMS. Not everyone has one and it is hard to find models that done need one. Keep up the great work!

I guess you can always reslice but definitely nice to have it already set up for no AMS. I have one, but it can be so much quicker, and less wasteful, to print single colours and slap it together with some CA glue.

I agree! I try to add "No AMS" printing capabilities in my projects as well, such as my recent headphone stand design, which has snap fits. Like you said, not everyone has an AMS.

I actually just print as normal. It looks for the AMS but then it’s ok. It might say 8 hours when it’s really 2 or 3.

The box printed perfectly with the provided profile, no adhesion issues with PLA, however, it slides poorly, the hatch does not open fully.

I put a lil bit of lubricating oil on the very edges of the sliding lid and slid it open and closed a few times and it freed mine up super well!

Great print, thank you! Wonderful to print something with more colors without an AMS. Printed in PETG and added a small piece of red carpet to the bottom of the box. Needed to oil the lid hinges a bit to get rid of the friction.
