Boost Me (for free)
If this model worked out for your project, consider tossing me one of your free boosts. This side hobby is for my granddaughter's future college fund.
Please read all instructions before printing.
Note, this is a companion model to my primary model for the LED Light Strip Channel System.
This model is just options for alternate corner piece angles.
For the standard pieces; straight sections and diffuser lens covers please see model:
LED Light Strip Channel System for Surface Lightin by BigSarge207 - MakerWorld
I've included a print profile for those that have and chose to use PLA support material for the support interface layer. There's also a profile for printing supports using default material and settings.
The corners included in this model:
90d corner (Modifiable length)
90d corner (Standard length)
135d inside corner (Modifiable length)
135d outside corner (Modifiable length)
135d inside corner (standard length)
135d outside corner (standard length)
and a custom angle by request:
120d inside corner (Modifiable length)
120d outside corner (Modifiable length)
120d inside corner (standard length)
120d outside corner (standard length)
To modify the lengths of the ones noted as modifiable, please refer to the attached pdf instruction sheet.
Note: Addendum to instruction sheet for corner pieces - Modify the corner pieces according to the instruction that were devised for straight pieces in the primary model file for the system. There is a special consideration for the corners of 135 or 120 degrees. There is one end on either the X or Y axis (parallel to the plate edge). That end can be scaled on that plane as is. The other end, the one on an angle to the plate, prior to scaling, you need to rotate the piece to get it on either the X or Y plane. It also has to be merge together prior so it all rotates. So, the amount to rotate it is half the angle of the piece, i.e. the 135d piece would be rotated 67.5d, and the 120d piece would be rotated 60d. After rotating it on plane, split it to objects again and scale that end to you chosen length.
Adaptive Layer Height:
I've grouped the non-modifiable corners on a couple of plates. If you want to apply adaptive layer height for better surface quality, first move them to plate of their own and apply the adaptive settings to them individually. I recommend setting “adaptive quality/speed” to 0.25 and then applying it.
If you follow the instruction to modify any of the corners, the final step will be to merge the pieces back as one object. After you do that, you can apply the same adaptive layer setting previously mentioned.
