Description

This an (over-engineered) box for a Skyjo deck designed to be completely print-in-place. It features a unique hinge mechanism that obeys good design practices for 3D printing and does not need support.

It has an overlapping latch to lock closed.

4 Versions!

Hex-pattern top and bottom (0.2mm tolerance gap between hinge components)
Hex-pattern top and bottom (0.3mm tolerance gap between hinge components)
Non-pattern (flat) top and bottom (0.2mm tolerance gap between hinge components)
Non-pattern (flat) top and bottom (0.3mm tolerance gap between hinge components)

As printed, the open box footprint measures 182mm x 96mm - so it is not compatible with the A1 Mini.

Thank you for your design and the work you put into it. I printed the box on my Ender 3 V2 Neo. Unfortunately, the little flap (overlapping latch) at the front, which holds the lid in place, broke off after opening it three times. I printed it with PLA. However, I can still use the box very well. Best regards, Vincent.

I saw some reviews that the box wasn't big enough. I thought perhaps this was because the game ships with score cards. Maybe it's not big enough to fit cards plus score cards. Sadly, my game (cards only) did not fit either. I think this might fit with an absolutely pristinely new game where the cards aren't used and lay perfectly flat. Mine are pretty new, but not perfect and they absolutely do not fit. The hinge mechanism works perfectly. The window design is great. But the latch is extremely hard to open. My littles grab this game and play it all the time. This will definitely not work for them as I can barely open it myself. When I do, I have to use so much force it hurts my hands and the cards jolt and fly everywhere when I do get it open.

My first impression with my A1 and no issues. The box closes, it is the right size. It is perfect.
