Description

Honeycomb passport case that not only protects but also displays which booklet is in from a glance wit a half moon cut on bottom for easy ejection.

This fits a small booklet (125x88x5.7mm)

Printed with Overture White PLA

Just received first passport so a need for case arose. Has a friction fit so even after some vigorous shaking, the booklet never budged.

Please adjust as necessary! Also, please leave any comments if any. New to uploading so anything is helpful.

There was slight wall thickness discrepancy so one of the walls would include infill while other would be only walls, but fixed that in the editor by cutting a slice off from the thicker wall to make them even. At one hotel the staff was amazed when they saw it and when they learned it was 3D printed, hold up well during my 3 week trip and kept passport intact so does what it's supposed to 👍

Thanks so much for the comment! Definitely was not aware of the non infilled wall so def will try to fix that. Its so cool to hear that the hotel staff were so amazed, really a confidence boost for future models. Also, the gold look is so cool and glad that it works out well for you. 👌

The other side of the holder is 3.3mm and other 3.0mm which causes some inconsistency how the slicer does the infills/walls which isn't really a big deal but I cut the 0.3mm off so it's symmetrical 🙂

I needed two of then, but just before printing I had an idea: overlap and combine them! Thank you, great model! Very useful!

Like others, I wanted to make this hold passports for my wife and me. So i marshaled my 1st degree newbie skills and doubled the model, and added our names and my mobile number to it, too. Thanks!
