Good model, however later versions of X1C comes with little rubber caps at the top of the z-axis rod (see photo), so these covers won’t fit.

For those wondering, recent P1S shipments also come with those rubber caps installed. Maybe dust covers aren't necessary on top of those?

These are designed to just sit on top of the Z rod? They don't seem to do anything more than that..

Maybe something's changed on the printers since this was designed, but they just vibrate themselves off and fall either into the base of the printer, or worse, onto the bed.

I really didn't like these. They don't really cover the bearings well. They need to be deeper and hug the outer race of the bearing. The way they are now, they spin on the silicone piece in the middle and eventually work their way off. These need a redesign before I would use them again.

Does not fit and is a hazard to get stuck in moving parts when it comes off.
