Description

So a few weeks ago i saw a tiktok video of someone making a transparent business card.. so i used the idea to make transparent playing cards.. with a holloween themed..

I made the whole card design using simple spiderweb and made the card transparent.. The whole project was modelled and designed using Tinkercad.. the card is only 0.5mm thick with only 4 layers of 0.12mm layer height..

As you can see even the solid colors have a slight shine through when expose to light..

I didnt want to use vibrant colors for the cards so i used the basic black.. white.. bronze and transparent filament for the cards.. it looks a bit more elegent in my opinion.. I printed it all using Bambulab PLA except for the transparent filament.. Bambulab doesnt have transparent PLA.. if you're interested in buying the Bambulab PLA please consider using my affiliate links.. it helps me buy more filaments to make more awesome projects..

  1. PLA basic jade white - https://shrsl.com/4p9cj
  2. PLA matte charcoal black - https://shrsl.com/4ozg5
  3. PLA basic bronze - https://shrsl.com/4p9ch

As for the transparent PLA.. i just used a generic PLA i brought from my local shop..

I also 3d printed it using Bambu smooth PEI plate.. cause i wanted a smooth surface for the faces of the playing card.. that's why the playing cards are all printed face down.. so the rough surface will be the back of the card.. you could also do ironing on the back of the card but i opted not to and just lightly clean using sandpaper.. Bed adhesion is important when printing the playing card as the nozzle head is moving a lot on the surface of the plate..

The playing cards plates are organize by number.. so each plate is a number for all 4 types.. i didnt want to fill the plates with cards.. i made all 52 number cards as well as the joker card which is represented by my logo..

I dont think my print profile is the best as i am using a 0.4mm nozzle and there was some smudges on some of the cards due to residue oozing and stringing from the nozzle.. but overall it looks ok..

On a side note i got the idea from the transparent business card.. i'm also taking orders to create customize QRcode business card design.. you can order them from here https://buymeacoffee.com/fay3dlab/e/312600

i hope you guys have fun 3d printing my holloween playing card.. and happy holloween to all..

Can you fill in the center of the back of the cards where the suit symbol is? I'd like to print the cards, but I can see from your pics that my opponents would be able to see the suits I hold.

It can only be seen if you put it up to the light like I did.. If you use it normally.. You cant hardly see it

I liked this set of cards alot. Added some modifications for my own desires. I also designed a box to hold them. I didn't realize you uploaded a version with them blacked out. I just did mine with a paint pen. Redesigned the joker to match the vibe of the deck.

can you make other themed cards? I love this model but would think it would be so much cooler if there were more.

I just brought them a local shop.. They made their own brand.. I don't think they sell them internationally..

I played a full deck of cards, but I noticed the Jokers seem to be of equal rank
